Team challenges

Looking for a Team Challenge with a difference for your company?

Join us in the heart of rural Bedfordshire at this beautiful vineyard. Hard work, but definitely a rewarding, enjoyable and stress-busting team building activity.

Picture this…

YTeam dayour challenge could involve a vineyard tour followed by practical work in the vineyard carrying out seasonal tasks to build and bond the team, a picnic lunch on site, then over to you! Carry on into the afternoon, or use the time for recreational activities such as a game of rounders, or take in a nearby local tourist attraction such as the Shuttleworth Collection, Swiss Gardens. Alternatively, a meeting room can be hired in nearby Cardington for a private team meeting.

Then round up the day with a fun and informative wine tasting!

We can offer a variety of activities to keep you inspired. Seasonal vineyard tasks include weeding the vines, digging, winter and summer pruning, repairing rabbit fencing and watering younger plants - all depending on the time of year. Lighter, less physically demanding tasks are always available.

All tools are provided and participants are given health-and-safety guidance and basic training on the day.

“It felt really rewarding to know that I had given something to the community and I would definitely like to go back to the vineyard and help if I have any free time on my hands. I’d also be willing to give other projects ago as this experience was such a good one."  Elizabeth, DHL

"Thank you for the hospitality and time you gave us on Tuesday. We achieved what we wanted to, and more, in terms of team building and fun and the photographs show just that and will be a great reminder of the day."  Martin, Food Standards Agency

“We took 2 large teams of volunteers to Warden Abbey Vineyard this year and coming from a fast paced and pressurised office, the calming and tranquil landscape and environment in deepest Bedfordshire (it felt like Bordeaux) was such a refreshing and rewarding change. We spent the day completing activities in teams on different scales of the strenuous spectrum and all came away with a great sense of accomplishment that we had made a real difference. Jane and her team of volunteers made us feel very welcome and shared a real depth of knowledge and passion when guiding us through the history and tour of the site. The vineyard provided a welcome escape and an ideal platform to really get to know our colleagues again over a bit of hard work and of course, a sampling of their fantastic English wine. We would highly recommend a visit and are hoping to repeat the experience again"  James,  Santander

“Having spent a day at the vineyard pruning back the vines and talking to the other volunteers, you begin to see how such an exercise benefits an individual, it is a time to reflect whilst you’re working, the physical work involved leaves you feeling like you’ve done a days work whilst your mind is somehow free-er and less congested . It was a pleasure to be involved in this project and I thoroughly enjoyed the day, learning about the different grape varieties and what they are used for was informative.” Anna, DHL

“We had a fabulous day yesterday - the sunshine helped of course, but the work was challenging and somehow still quite relaxing. I enjoyed it very much indeed, and so did the apprentices. Thanks for an excellent briefing session.”  Wrest Park Upper Gardens & Apprentices Manager
