Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC), was founded in 1953 and is one of 38 Rural Community Councils in England. BRCC aims to serve, empower and enable communities and is the leading agency for sustainable community development in Bedfordshire.

Staff at BRCC are able to call on a wide range of skills, and work in partnership with a variety of organisations, including local authorities,Town and Parish Councils, schools and community groups, police and health organisations. 

Projects cover among other areas: arts, health, farming and local food, gardening, business and social enterprise, education, conservation, transport, affordable rural housing, good neighbour schemes, support into employment, local government. 

The community vineyard is a not-for profit project which aims to provide social, health and educational benefits for Bedfordshire whilst providing a financially and environmentally sustainable future for this historic vineyard.  We work with other local charities, groups and local schools to offer:
A unique setting for horticultural therapy
Wildlife & heritage projects
Learning and skills development
Help for people into employment or voluntary work
A range of volunteering opportunities for local people and community groups.
